Mercedes-Benz Vans has launched its ‘Winter Means Business’ campaign, to support van drivers during the potentially harsh winter conditions and an exceptionally busy, but vital, trading period.

To ensure that businesses are prepared, Mercedes-Benz Vans is offering free Visual Health Checks that enable any Sprinter, Vito, or Citan customer to pop in to their local approved dealer for a free, no-obligation check by a highly trained Mercedes-Benz specialist.  It includes an interior and exterior inspection (including lights and glass), under bonnet and under vehicle inspection, and an all-important brake check.

More than a third of Mercedes-Benz Vans Dealers will be working round the clock, with the rest of the network offering extended opening hours in to the evenings and weekends to ensure their customers’ vans stay on the road.  More than 700 technicians will be on hand in over 1,100 workshop bays, and a fleet of MobiloVan free roadside assistance vans across the UK to keep businesses moving.

Mercedes-Benz Vans is also issuing its renowned Driver Safety Guide, which is available from any site across the dealer network, and is free to download using this link - Driver safety guide. It proved extremely popular with drivers and fleet managers alike in 2015.

The Driver Safety Guide offers guidance and tips on winter maintenance, including best practice advice from UK fleets about how they manage in this challenging period, with a handy wallet-sized card to keep with a reminder of the MobiloVan free roadside assistance contact numbers in the event of a breakdown or accident.

As part of the campaign, a series of industry reports will be released to give businesses insight on a variety of key issues over the winter months, including managing driver behaviour, with best practice from some of the UK’s major fleets.  There will also be a video available to download from www.mbvans.co.uk/VHC highlighting a vehicle walkaround that Mercedes-Benz Vans is encouraging drivers to do before setting off on each journey this winter.

“We know that this is our customers’ busiest time of year and are committed to keeping their businesses moving during the challenging winter months,” said Steve Bridge, the Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Vans.  “This isn’t a sales exercise – it’s about our business helping to keep their business moving.”
