Join our Apprenticeship Programme to train as a Parts Operations Specialist. The role of a Parts Operations Specialist Apprentice is diverse. You’ll be working both behind the scenes receiving deliveries, and at the front desk serving customers. You’ll learn skills in how to manage stock, process orders and organise displays to promote our vehicle parts.
The role includes:
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers both in person and over the phone
- Developing relationships with other departments
- Preparing orders
- Meeting deadlines
- Stock Control/ Management
- Processing Warranty Claims and Payments
- Identifying Parts
- Business development/ Planning
- Marketing and Visual Merchandising
- Forecasting and Budgeting
- Managing logistics including organising and arranging deliveries

What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity to gain qualifications and experience. You will earn as you learn and gain practical skills in the workplace.

Does it cost anything to become an apprentice?
No. The National Apprenticeship Service will fund between 50-100% of your apprenticeship training, depending on your age. We will pay any remaining contributions.
Will I earn a salary?
Yes. As an apprentice at Roanza Truck and Van, you will receive a highly competitive wage, which is much higher than the National Minimum Wages for apprentices.
How long is the programme?

The programme is delivered over a 3-year period. It incorporates National Qualifications up to Level 3 and a tailored Mercedes-Benz Competence element, which ensures your continued development. The Apprenticeship involves spending 1 week blocks away from home at the Mercedes-Benz state of the art training Center in Milton Keynes every 5/6 weeks. Travel and accommodation is provided.
What qualifications do I need?
An interest in the motor industry is essential and ideally you will be predicted, or have achieved, GCSE grade C or above in Maths, English Language and IT. All successful applicants will also be required to complete aptitude tests to help ensure the programme can offer you the support you need.
How do I apply?

You will be invited to complete a short assessment to support your application. Applications are invited right through up until Sunday the 9th June 2019.
What happens with my application?
Once applications have been reviewed after the vacancy listing has closed, shortlisted applicants will be contacted for more information about why you have applied etc. You may then have a Telephone Interview and suitable applicants will then be invited to an interview.
Applicants who progress through this stage will then be asked to complete three online assessments. We’d recommend taking your time whilst completing the initial online application form to give yourself the best opportunity of being shortlisted for the vacancy.
What do the online assessments involve?
The online assessments consist of a series of short aptitude tests. These are multiple choice and will take roughly 15 minutes each to complete. Don’t worry, we will provide you with guidance on the assessments beforehand.
When will I know my results from the assessments?
You will be given three working days to complete the online assessments. Once this has been completed your results will be calculated and we will make the final recruitment decision.
How long will the application process take?
We intend to have all interviews completed early July. We aim to have all vacancies recruited by the end of July, with a view to starting at the Mercedes-Benz Apprentice Academy in September.
